Gustavus Alumni Referrals

You play an invaluable role in the recruitment of future generations of Gusties, and we are incredibly grateful that you think so highly of Gustavus as to recommend it to others!

This form serves several purposes, so please use it to recommend any high school student you think would be a great fit at Gustavus while making sure to complete the check boxes at the bottom of the form. The Office of Admission will be sure to be in touch with prospective students referred through this form as they navigate the college search process, and we encourage you to also check in with these students from time to time to offer advice and encouragement.

As you know, the Alumni Referral Scholarship program allows you to nominate a student applying for admission to Gustavus in the current year for a $1000/year scholarship if:

• They apply by November 1 of their senior year
• Are admitted to Gustavus
• Choose to attend by the May 1 deadline

***Referral names must be received by the Office of Admission no later than November 1 of their senior year in order to qualify them for this special scholarship program. Scholarship dollars cannot be granted retroactively for this program, so please don't delay.

NEW THIS YEAR, we are welcoming the referral of JUNIORS, so we encourage you to reach out to those students in your circles early and encourage them to consider Gustavus!

Prospective students with immediate family members who have graduated from Gustavus are not eligible for the Alumni Referral Scholarship, but will instead be automatically awarded the Gustavus Legacy Scholarship, and students are only eligible for one referral scholarship. Students not applying for admission in the current year will be added to our database and flagged for an Alumni Referral Scholarship if they apply and meet the admission criteria in their senior year.
