is committed to cultivating an environment free of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other sexually inappropriate conduct. We encourage all members of our community to report any incidents of sexual misconduct and encourage those who have experienced sexual misconduct to receive support and care. Gustavus strives, at all times, to maintain a safe environment that supports its educational mission and is free from exploitation and intimidation, as well as discrimination based upon gender and sexuality. 

In order to serve our college community, this Title IX and Sexual Misconduct and Prevention page includes information on the sexual misconduct policy and process, opportunities to report sexual misconduct, resources available to victims, witnesses, and accused, as well as information and resources on preventing sexual misconduct.


UPDATE, July 2020: Letter to the Gustavus Community, New Federal Regulations for Title IX

On May 6, 2020 the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights released new regulations regarding Title IX, the law that prohibits sex-based discrimination and harassment at schools, colleges, and universities. Please find a letter to the Gustavus community and FAQs that will hopefully answer some key questions regarding the required upcoming changes.
