Friends of Music

Gustavus Friends of Music support, celebrate, and advance student and faculty musicians at the College. Our mission is to ensure the strong tradition of music excellence and provide opportunities for all students who want to express themselves through music.

Through annual and endowed gifts, we provide funds for music scholarships and ensemble tours. Friends of Music supporters engage with students and faculty by attending performances, traveling on ensemble companion tours, serving on the Friends of Music Leadership Council, and volunteering as mentors for students.

Our funding initiatives include:

  • Jussi Björling Music Scholarships Current Year
  • Jussi Björling Music Scholarships Endowment Fund
  • Friends of Music Ensemble Touring Endowment Fund
  • The Nimmo Family Endowment Fund for Gustavus Wind Orchestra International Touring
  • The Gregory and Julie Aune Endowment Fund for Gustavus Choir International Touring
  • Christmas in Christ Chapel Current Year
  • Christmas in Christ Chapel Endowment
  • Music Facilities Improvement Fund
