Learn. Plan. Explore.

Go beyond your goals — Advising Day is your jumpstart!

Advising day is set aside each semester to give students a chance to explore academic, professional and vocational goals. To create space to do this, all classes between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. are canceled.

On Advising Day students have opportunities to meet with advisors; learn about majors, minors and programs; explore study away options; and consider internships and career opportunities.  Have more general questions? Visit the Advising Day Hub, where representatives from offices across campus can help answer your questions. Need a moment to relax and reflect? “Retreat” Christ Chapel for a hot drink and quiet activities.

Spring and Fall Advising Days

Whether you're a first-year student or a senior looking forward to graduation, Advising Day events are tailored to students' needs. In the Fall, the Advising Day Info Fair is hosted by the Center for Career Development and provides students with opportunities to explore jobs, internships, graduate school, and study away opportunities.

Making a strong first impression is key to landing that interview. Get your free, professional headshot taken at the Professional Dress Event. Come early and build your wardrobe—so you can dress to impress!

In the Spring, Advising Day features the Majors/Minors/Programs Info Fair, where students can chat with faculty from across campus, explore possible academic focuses, or discover a great course for the fall. Interested in campus employment for the summer or fall? Be sure to visit the Student Employment Fair to explore your options.
