The Gustavus women's soccer team earned recognition with the Women's Team Academic Award with the second highest cumulative GPA (3.78) in all of NCAA Division III.
103 Gusties Named MIAC Fall 2021 Academic All-Conference
Student-athletes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) continue to achieve in both athletics and in the classroom. On Wednesday, the MIAC announced its Academic All-Conference honorees for the 2021-22 fall semester, which included 103 Gustavus student-athletes.
Cocchiarella Named Women’s Soccer All-Region
The United Soccer Coaches announced its Division III All-Region Teams on Monday and Gustavus senior Page Cocchiarella (Owatonna) was named to the Region IX Third Team. Cocchiarella is one of five midfielders on the Third Team, which consists of 14 athletes.
Ashpole, Cocchiarella Named MIAC Women’s Soccer All-Conference
The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its women's soccer postseason awards Wednesday and five Gusties were recognized. Katie Ashpole (Sr., Chaska) and Page Cocchiarella (Sr., Owatonna) were selected to the All-Conference Team, while Megan King (Jr., Savage) and Rachel Rehnelt (Sr., Albert Lea) were named honorable mention.
Women’s Soccer Ends Season in MIAC Semifinal
The Gustavus women's soccer team ended its season Wednesday afternoon with a 5-0 loss at top-seeded St. Catherine in the MIAC playoff semifinals. The Gusties finish the season 11-9, while boasting a 7-2 record in the final nine games of the season.

Rachel Rehnelt's (Sr., Albert Lea) goal 6:17 into the game proved to be the only score in Monday's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoff quarterfinal game as the Gustavus women's soccer team defeated Augsburg 1-0.
Women’s Soccer Shuts Out Macalester 1-0, Secures No. 4 Seed
The Gustavus women’s soccer team wrapped up its regular season Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 win over Macalester. The Gusties secured the No. 4 seed in the MIAC playoffs with their sixth consecutive conference win and will host No. 5 Augsburg at 2 p.m. Monday in the MIAC quarterfinals.
