Grant Opportunities
Small Grants
The Kendall Center offers three small grant opportunities (up to $500) that support faculty members professional development. Proposals for these grants are accepted on a rolling basis.
- Teaching Development Grants support faculty members’ pedagogical development.
- Scholarship Development Grants support the development of faculty’s research, scholarship, and creative work.
- Community Engaged Learning Grants support course-based community collaborations.
- Redevelopment of a Major Grants support one-time costs that contribute to a substantial reimagining or reconfiguration of a major in response to recent curricular changes at the College.
- Faculty Development Program - The Kendall Center has committed to match 50% of the cost for up to 4 applicants per year for full-time, tenure-track and tenured faculty to participate in a program or initiative that advances their career at Gustavus. The maximum award amount is $2500. Please note that faculty cannot apply for both this opportunity and the development grants within the same academic year. Application

Matching Grant
- Faculty Success Program is a 12-week, online-based program through the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity that helps faculty increase their productivity, gain control of their time, and live a full and healthy life beyond campus. The Kendall Center offers matching funds to support enrollment in this program.
