Advising
Advising is one of the principal relationships between the student and the College. The responsibility for advising is led and shared by the faculty within a college culture of communication and relationships. Faculty advisors are supported in their role by the John S. Kendall Center for Engaged Learning, the Academic Support Center, the Office of the Registrar, and other campus resources.

Community Engaged Learning
Community-engaged learning (CEL) at Gustavus can include projects connected to a specific course as well as research or creative work conducted outside the structure of the classroom. Gustavus has a strong tradition of CEL across many disciplines, with projects ranging from single assignments embedded in a course to research collaborations spanning many years. The Kendall Center seeks to support both veteran practitioners and faculty interested in exploring opportunities to integrate CEL into their curricular or scholarly agendas.
