After-Finals Housing

All halls will be closed to non-Seniors within 24 hours of their last final, or a final deadline of 7pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 (whichever comes first). Anyone staying after that date must be a graduating Senior or approved for after-finals housing by submitting a request form. 
 
Information below is for students who need to remain in their room after the completion of finals.
Please read information thoroughly. Applications for "after-finals housing" must be submitted via the online form by Monday, May 11, 2020. Any late applications after that date are subject to a $25 processing fee, in addition to any housing charges.
 
Closing Information - Spring 2020
  • Each resident is required to depart within 24 hours of the completion of their last final or by 7:00pm Tuesday, May 26, whichever comes first.
  • Residence Halls close to non-seniors on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 7:00pm.
  • All Residential Halls close for graduating Seniors/Commencement workers at 6pm on Saturday, May 30, 2020.
  • You will receive detailed information via email about checking out of your residence hall room (including instructions about how to sign up for a time), storage options for those who live more than 350 miles from campus, etc.

Students requesting to remain on campus for any period of time between hall closings and Commencement/Summer Housing move-in must apply and receive advance approval.

Students can apply if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • Walking in Commencement on June 1 but graduating in December 2020
  • Reside further than 350 miles away and can't travel by the Residence Halls closing.
  • Required to work for a College department/in Commencement (other than graduating Seniors) - you will need to list your supervisor/coach
  • Reserved Summer Housing and staying in Residence Hall until the Summer Housing move-in date (Wednesday, June 3, 2020). If you have questions about the summer housing process, please check here

Any additional nights or for not meeting the above criteria is subject to a $75 per night charge. 

Graduating Seniors

If you are a graduating senior who currently resides on campus, we assume you will stay in your Residence Hall space and will not check out until Saturday, May 30. If you are a senior leaving prior to May 30, contact your Area Coordinator or CF to set up a check-out time. If your travel distance is greater than 350+ miles, you can be approved to coordinate a checkout on Sunday, May 31. You must apply in advance via the after-finals form.
