After-Finals Housing

After-Finals Housing Request Form - Due by April 21, 2024

All residential housing closes for non-Seniors within 24-hours of your last final, or by 7pm on Tuesday, May 21 (whichever comes first). Residential Housing closes graduating Seniors by 6pm on Saturday, May 25.
An after-finals request approval will be required housing after these closing dates/times. Note: you may have to move to a temporary housing assignment depending on your Spring assignment/departure date - as all housing has to be turned over for Summer Programs/Reunion Weekend housing after Commencement.
 
Applications are due April 21, 2024. Any late applications after that date are subject to a $25 processing fee, in addition to any housing charges.
General Closing Information - 
  • Each resident is required to depart within 24 hours of the completion of their last final or by 7:00pm Tuesday, May 21, whichever comes first.
  • Residence Halls close to non-seniors on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 7:00pm.
  • All Residential Halls close for graduating Seniors at 6pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
  • As you plan your departure from campus, you will receive a procedure email and should check your door for a checkout envelope or pick one up from the Residential Life office - you will book a departure time, move-out your belongings, and then return your key to Residential Life to confirm your check-out/move out.

Students requesting to remain on campus for any period of time between hall closings and Commencement/Summer Housing move-in must apply and receive advance approval.

Students can apply if you meet any of the following criteria:
  • Reside further than 350 miles away/International Student and can't travel by the Residence Halls closing.
  • Required to work for a College department/in Commencement (other than graduating Seniors) - you will need to list your supervisor/coach.

Any additional nights or for not meeting the above criteria is subject to a $75 per night charge. 

Graduating Seniors

If you are a graduating senior (on the list of May grads that we receive from the Registrar's office) who currently resides on campus, you will be approved to remain in campus housing until 6pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024 without needing to submit an after-finals request form. If you move out prior to that, please return your room key(s) directly to the Residential Life office as confirmation of your move-out. If your travel distance is greater than 350+ miles, you can request a late checkout for Sunday, May 26 by 10am, but you must apply in advance via the after-finals form.
