Jazz Jamboree

Part of the Björling Music Festival

The Gustavus Jazz Jamboree is a pedagogically-focused and non-competitive jazz festival produced by Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. The one-day festival features performances by twelve high school jazz ensembles from throughout the Midwest. The 2020 event culminates in an evening concert featuring the MODx Ensemble led by Gustavus' own, Dr. Dave Stamps.

In addition to performing, students will participate in an ensemble clinic with one of the guest artist/educators and attend masterclasses on topics ranging from improvisation to jazz listening skills to composing/arranging. All elements of the festival are free and open to the public.
