Returning students - Room Selection Dates and Timeline

November 2024	Special Housing Accommodation forms for 2025-2026 become available.
November 25, 2024	Learning and Service Housing Applications Open (ILS House, Crossroads, Swedish House) - see individual applications/information here. Off-campus Applications Open (in your housing portal, housing.gac.edu, for those eligible to apply), see list of qualifiers and more information about the off-campus housing policies here.
January 1, 2025 Special housing applications due	Special Housing Accommodation Requests due: those requesting any type of housing accommodation (single room, air conditioner, ESA, etc) must submit a request form and the documentation paperwork linked via the housing accommodation page. Learning and Service Housing Applications (ILS House, Crossroads, Swedish House) applications due. Off-Campus applications due.
January 27, 2025	Collegiate Fellow Applications due.
February 10, 2025	Notifications will be sent out via email to those who applied for Crossroads, ILS House, Swedish House.
February 12, 2025	Crossroads in-person room selection (those receiving an acceptance email will receive more information about this process).
February 14, 2025	New Collegiate Fellow selection - offer notifications.
Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 12pm/noon	Housing Agreement (Returning student housing form) opens - priority for time slots is assigned based on class year (year in residence) and then by application received timestamp. Question on application will ask if you are submitting to participate in the room selection for Quads, Triples, Open-gender Triples, Singles, Doubles, or Open-Gender Doubles. Be realistic in your choices; four-person apartments will be selected by rising Seniors, those who will be Sophomores and Juniors next year should research your options for Doubles. Most rising Sophomores will live in double-room assignments in Complex (North/Sorensen Halls). March 1 - 9, 2025	Spring Break! Make sure you’ve submitted your housing agreement and finalized your roommate pair/group! Room Selection processes start when you return!
Wednesday, March 5, 2025	Housing agreement submission and Roommate matching deadline. Must be completed in advance of the specific room-selection or you will not be able to select a room! Note that during room selection, groups that do not meet the specific room’s required group size will not be able to select spaces they cannot fully fill (so a group of 3 will not be able to select a 4-person unit). There is time built in to the room selection process to allow for re-matching if there are no longer units available that match your grouping by the time of your first-scheduled time slot.
Monday, March 10, 2025 by 4pm Triple/Quad Room Selection - Time Slot Notifications	Those who submitted for four or three-person room selections and have a mutually matched group that will fill the room-type will receive their time slot 24-hours in advance.
Tuesday, March 11, 2025, 4pm-9pm Triple/Quad Room Selection	Room Selection for triple units: Three-person rooms in Uhler Hall Three-person rooms in Rundstrom Hall (only 2 available) Room Selection for four-person units: Apartments in Arbor View, College View, Southwest. Four-person rooms in Uhler Hall. A very limited number of units in Chapel View (Townhomes) or Southwest Suites may be available. When you form your roommate group it is best to assume you will not be able to select a Townhome or Suite space. Note to Rising Sophomores and Juniors - you will not be able to select a four-person unit, as they will be selected by groups of Seniors. Note to Rising Seniors - note that groups that include rising Juniors/Sophomores will have later time slots than groups of all Seniors and will most likely not be able to select an apartment space. Those unable to select a space during selection should re-submit their Housing form to submit for Single selection to be added tot that process by 8am on Thursday, March 13 or re-group for Doubles selection by 8am on Monday, March 17.
Thursday, March 13, 2025 by 4pm Single rooms - Time Slot Notifications	Those who submitted for single room selection will receive their time slot 24-hours in advance.
Friday, March 14, 2025, 4pm-9pm Singles Room Selection	Room Selection for single rooms in the following buildings: Sohre Hall Gibbs Hall Uhler Hall (limited number) Those unable to select a space during selection should re-group for Doubles selection.
Monday, March 17, 2025 by 4pm Doubles Room Selection - Time Slot Notifications	Those who submitted for double room selections and have a mutually matched pair will receive their time slot 24-hours in advance.
Tuesday, March 18, 2025, 4-9pm Doubles Room Selection	Room Selection for double rooms in the following buildings: Doubles - North, Gibbs, Sorensen Rundstrom Uhler (2nd/3rd floor) Open-Gender Doubles - Prairie View Uhler (1st floor)
March 20 - 25, 2025	Fall Class Registration - room selection processes are scheduled to have been completed prior to registration times; except for those who do not participate in Room Selection processes/are unable to select due to incomplete roommate groups/matches.
March / April 2025	After room selection, returning students who did not participate in room selection/did not select a room will be batch-assigned to open double-occupancy spaces. Incoming/New Student Housing Form opens in the Housing Portal in April.
Summer 2025	If you are on a wait list, you may be contacted if a room/housing type of your request becomes available to you. In most cases, your Room Assignment will be finalized by August 1.
