Health Service

  • Free, annual health screenings available to all employees, spouses and domestic partners. Information is mailed out to employees each year about dates, times and scheduling procedures.
  • Employee Health Service appointments are preferred and walk-ins may be available. Office hours are 7am – 4:30pm M-F during the academic year. Insurance will be billed for all appointments and all insurance is accepted, except for Medicare.   • Two flu shot clinics each fall for employees, spouses, domestic partners and dependents over the age of 18. Employees can get flu shots in Health Service at any time. Flu shots will be billed to insurance. Gustavus sponsored health insurance will cover the flu shot at 100%.

Hoonuit

  • Hoonuit, an online, on demand training site, is available to ALL Gustavus Faculty, Staff and Students! Hoonuit offers over 50,000 tutorial videos on over 250 technology applications, including Microsoft, Google, and Adobe. Topics are subdivided into small segments and presented in short videos so learners may easily and quickly find the training they need. 

Parking

  • Employees must register and display a valid green parking permit and park in the appropriate color lot to park on campus. There is no charge, or vehicle limit, for employee permits.

Print and Mail Services

     Mail

  • Utilize the services at the Gustavus Post Office to ship packages and personal letters via FedEx or the United States Postal System. All USPS services except Passports, registered mail and money orders are available. FedEx offers contract pricing through the College. 
  • Recycled packing materials are available at the Gustavus Post Office in addition to FedEx and USPS envelopes and boxes.

     Print

  • All print services are available to employees at competitive pricing. Services include:
    • Photo Kiosk
    • Specialty paper and envelopes; including colorful options
    • Document printing in color or black/white
    • Invitation / Card Printing: Wedding, Graduation, Birthday, etc.
    • Wide Format Printing: Banner and Wall Clings

Theatre Productions

  • Employees are allowed one free ticket to most performances.
  • Costume rental is available, but it is restricted to academic purposes (class projects, educational events, etc.).

Valleyfair Tickets

Gustavus is participating in the “Good Any Day Ticket Program” at Valleyfair. Employees may purchase tickets for:

  • Regular Admission (ages 3-61 and 48” or taller): $34.50
  • Junior/Senior (ages 3-61, under 48” tall or 62+ years & includes admission to Dinosaurs Alive!): $34.50
  • Dinosaurs Alive! (with adult park admission): $3.00
  • Ride & Refresh (ages 3-61 and 48” or taller plus unlimited drink wristband): $42.25
  • Parking: $12.00

All tickets may be used any day of the Valleyfair 2017 operating season. Tickets are available for purchase in the Office of Human Resources in the Carlson Administration Building payable with cash or checks made to Gustavus.

Wallenberg Auditorium, Nobel Hall

  • Campus Activities offers movie screenings most weekends throughout the academic year for faculty, staff and students. Check the Gustavus calendar for posted showings and times.

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction: The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (modeled after the program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn) helps participants cope with more ease during stressful times, enhance ability to comfort the physical body, increase awareness of the mind’s influence on the body in health and illness, and have greater clarity in taking care of one’s health.
