The Gustavus Office of Health Professions 

Mission Statement: The Office of Health Professions serves Gustavus Adolphus College students and alumni pursuing careers in medicine and allied healthcare through intentional prerequisite course planning, health-related experiences, and dedicated support throughout the application process. 

Vision Statement: The Gustavus Office of Health Professions is a recognized leader in supporting students and alumni as they pursue acceptance to graduate programs and achieve professional success.


 The Office of Health Professions supports Gustavus students and alumni with:

#1: Prerequisite course planning: helping students to navigate the prerequisite course requirements for graduate school as well as standardized tests preparation required for application to health profession graduate programs. 

#2: Gaining experience: Assist with gaining exposure to the health professions through shadowing opportunities, volunteer positions and patient care positions. 

#3: Graduate application assistance: Dedicated support for both students and alumni applicants in the graduate application process. Provide workshops focused on the centralized application, personal statements and interview strategies. Group and one-on-one support and advising through the application process.
