Why Support the Library
The Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library is full of contrasts:both quiet and bustling, offering both print and digital resources, providing spaces for both individuals and groups.True to the words on our website, “Libraries are for everyone.”
Your support, at any level, allows the Library to:
- purchase literary works and buy materials supporting the fine arts and other creative endeavors
- provide access to cutting edge research in STEM disciplines and the health sciences
- serve as a lab for students in the Humanities and Social Sciences through our print collections, primary sources, and subscription databases
- bring the College’s history to life through digitization projects and by enhancing our archival collections
- create functional and comfortable study spaces for students through new furnishings and additional study rooms
- meet the needs of 21st century learners by acquiring licenses for streaming video and music
- ensure that students and faculty have access to a wide range of research through the library’s print and electronic journal subscriptions
- support scholarship and creativity on campus through subscriptions to disciplinary and interdisciplinary online databases
