  • 2002-current, Washington, D.C.  Brainstorm and contribute to initiatives with the Partnership that seek to help more Americans recognize government’s role in their lives, distinguish between its failures and successes, and become informed players in making government work better, focusing on increasing youth-based civic engagement.
  • Motivational Speaker, Mayor’s Youth Council, National 4-H Program, Princeton Review, Other Organizations
  • 2000-present, nationwide.  Share experiences with and provide advice and inspirational support to a variety of groups and organizations with audiences ranging in size from ten to three thousand. 
  • Co-Author, The Future of Virginia: A 25-Year Strategic Vision Project. Virginia Citizenship Institute College Leaders Program
  • Summer 2002., Richmond, VA.  Contributing author by selective request of Virginia’s Governor and the Speaker of the House of an unprecedented strategic plan for the future of the Commonwealth.  Collaborated with an alliance of student, business, political, and community leaders in a collective, nonpartisan endeavor to address the Commonwealth’s current and future public policy challenges.
  • Fall 2002 Chair, Electoral Commission of the Harvard University Undergraduate Council. 
  • Member, 2000-present.  Responsible for coordinating and overseeing election procedures for the UC.

  • Performer, 2001-current.  VM’s mission is to raise awareness about discrimination, ignorance, and violence against women.
  • Contributing Writer, The Girls’ Guide to the SAT: The 40-Point Gender Gap and What YOU Can Do About It
  • Forward to be published March 2003, RandomHouse and The Princeton Review.  Test preparation book to encourage young women to understand and overcome the gender gap with specifically focused tips and techniques for raising scores. 
  • Women’s News-Group Creator, Department Web Designer, Harvard Women’s Studies Department. 
    2000-2002. Developed Kezia-List, which emails undergraduate women about all opportunities.  Reconstructed and managed website.
  • Fundraising Director, The Harvard Black Arts Festival. 
  • 2001-2002. BAF celebrates black creativity and contribution to art and society.  Managed budget of almost $20,000. 
  • Commercial Service Intern, The Belgian American Embassy
  • Summer 2001, Brussels, Belgium.  Spearheaded reconstruction of Commercial Service Brussels and European Union websites.  Researched and presented opinions and consulting information to various American businesses interested in    entering the Belgian marketplace.
  • Volunteer Editor, Teen Voices Magazine
  • Fall 2000-spring 2001, Women Express, Inc., Boston, MA.  Wrote online advice column and helped Boston-area teenage girls publish articles in a junior Ms.–like magazine with over 75,000 readers nationwide.

  • Helped organize 30th Anniversary Celebration of African-American Studies Dept. at Harvard.  Moderated  related workshops and panels.  Helped obtain subjects for participation in menstruation research projects. 
  • Advisor, National Endowment for Humanities/4-H Youth as Catalysts for Change in America Project
  • 2000-2002, Chevy Chase, M.D.  Pending funding.  One of fifteen creators of a nationwide DVD-ROM project designed to encourage teenagers to become more active in civics and involved in their own communities. 
  • Designer, National Ad Council Are You Into It? 4-H Advertising Campaign
  • 1998-2000, Washington, D.C.  Helped conceptualize ten-year, multi-million dollar public service initiative which was among the top five Ad Council campaigns in 1998, earning $64.1 million in estimated donated media placement.
