Inclusive Excellence Award
The Center for Inclusive Excellence, in collaboration with the Gustavus Book Mark, offers a textbook & supplies award (up to $300 per semester) to help subsidize the cost of textbooks and/or academic supplies (Art, Science Labs, etc.) which can be can be applied toward the Equitable Access Subscription. This opportunity is available to students who identify as one or more of the following...
- Historically underrepresented group/BIPOC,
- First generation college student,
- LGBTQIA+,
- Adoptee,
- Multilingual,
- Are eligible for the Pell Grant or Minnesota State Grant
The CIE is excited to continue partnering with the Gustavus Book Mark, who continues to strive for affordable and equitable access to course materials. In order to gain the greatest benefit, applicants should remain "opted-in". (Stay tuned for more information from the Book Mark)
To be considered for this award, Eligible students must submit a completed application which includes an accompanying essay prompt. (Link to the Google Form > > > > >)
Useful Information...
- Students must meet at least one of the listed criteria to be eligible for the award.
- The application must also include a response to the essay prompt, which can now be typed directly into the section included on the form.
- When applicable, the CIE will reach out to the Financial Aid Office for eligibility verification once the application has been submitted.
- IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Each semester/term requires a separate award application.
- Please refer to the applicable deadlines for each semester/term.
- FALL 2024 - Deadline - Sunday, September 17th
- SPRING 2025 - Deadline - Sunday, January 19th
NOTE: We will notify award recipients who have submitted their completed award application as soon as feasible. All award transactions will be reflected on each recipient's college account. Once you have received notification, please check with the Book Mark as to the status of the award. The Center for Inclusive Excellence does not track student accounts.
