Jeff Owen ’92Alumni and Faculty
I graduated from Gustavus in 1992 with a double-major in economics and history. I received my doctorate in economics from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) in 2000. My dissertation was in sports economics, focusing on issues related to the economic impact of sports teams and facilities. In 2006, I returned to join the Economics and Management department. My teaching interests are primarily focused in the area of microeconomics and related fields such as sports economics, economic history, and environmental economics. You will often see me at Gustavus athletic events, especially basketball games. My wife Susan and I are both originally from Stewartville, MN and now reside near St. Peter.
