Lonnie HosmanFaculty

Assistant Professor in Business and Economics

My work experience includes two years with the Internal Revenue Service, four years as a controller for a human services not-for-profit, and 20 years in public accounting.   I made the move to academia in 2017.  (I taught accounting as a graduate student at the University of Washington, and had always planned to return to the classroom.)  I very much enjoy sharing what I have learned during my career with my students and helping students gain an understanding of how financial information is compiled, and how that information is used for decision making for both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

Gustavus Adolphus prepares students to pursue careers in the broad field of accounting  - supporting their technical accounting coursework with a broad set of skills, knowledge and experiences in the liberal arts tradition.  See you class!
