COVID-19 Testing 

Testing is available at the following locations:

All test sites require that patients call or go online to schedule a COVID test (unless you are experiencing a medical emergency). If you are experiencing a medical emergency please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Gustavus Health Service 

The Gustavus Health Service offers PCR testing via nasal swabs Monday-Friday for Gustavus students, faculty, and staff who want to get tested. Test results typically return in 24-72 hours. A rapid antigen test is also available for patients who meet MDH established criteria for a rapid test. Please call 507-933-7630 to schedule an appointment. Testing will be billed to insurance, any amount not covered by insurance will be kindly covered by the College.

Hy-Vee Pharmacy (eTrueNorth)

Hy-Vee is offering PCR testing via nasal swabs on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at 24 stores in Minnesota (including the Hy-Vee in St. Peter) for anyone who wants to get tested. Test results typically return in 3-5 days. Go HERE to register and find a time that works best for you. No insurance information will be collected, testing is free at this time through a government funded program. 

Mayo Clinic Health System

Mayo offers PCR testing via nasopharyngeal swabs daily in Mankato for anyone who wants to get tested. Test results typically return in 12-48 hours. Insurance will be billed for tests collected. River’s Edge Hospital and Urgent Care, St. Peter

River’s Edge is only testing individuals who are symptomatic. Patients will need to be evaluated by a provider to determine if testing is warranted. Call 507-931-2200 before going to hospital to determine whether they are able to test you (unless emergency). 

Mankato Clinic COVID Hotline

The Mankato Clinic offers testing to individuals with symptoms, close contacts who meet the MDH definition for needing to quarantine, and select others who may need a test for a specific reason (ie. healthcare worker or travel). If you have symptoms, you will be scheduled for an appointment with a provider in the Respiratory Clinic or via Telehealth. The Mankato Clinic COVID hotline can be reached at 507-389-8548 or you can visit their online COVID-19 Information page.
