There is no one study away option that is right for every student. This is why asking about the most popular option is not the best way to start. True to our Appreciative Advising framework, we want to work with you right where you are now, surveying your strengths, interests, and goals as well as practicalities of funding, timing, type of housing desired while away, etc. We want to help you find the program that is best for you.

Things to consider when selecting a program:
  • What goals do you have personally, academically, for your study away experience, for your career?
  • What skills and abilities do you have?
  • What are the limits of your comfort zone?
  • In what learning environments do you most succeed?
  • What about yourself do you want to explore further?

  • Location of program
  • Length of program
  • Structure of program
  • Content of program
  • Housing options for program
  • Cost of program
  • Additional learning opportunities and experiences offered on program (e.g., internship? creative projects? community engagement? research opportunity? fieldwork? lifestyle immersion?)

Explore your options:
Search our suite of more than 400 study away programs online in Studio Abroad. Conduct a simple search based on program name, term, city, country, and/or region. Or, conduct a more advanced search incorporating criteria such as area of study, language study, housing options, and more!
