Major: Exercise Physiology 

Your Story: I grew up in a small town that I absolutely loved, Loretto, MN. Went to Delano High School where I lettered in four sports and was involved in YAR- Youth As Resources. I worked at many different golf courses and coached kids in many different sports growing up. Went on to Gustavus to play hockey with an exercise physiology major and a coaching minor. Once I shadowed an OT and learned more about the profession, I fell in love. I then applied to five graduate programs and knew that St. Scholastica was the best fit for me. I’m very hopeful for my future in Duluth thanks to Gustavus and everyone who has helped me along the way! 

Top Five Activities/Experiences: (in no particular order) 

1. Resident Assistant at Ecumen 

2. Sports Information student employment position at Gustavus 

3. Personal Care Assistant 

4. Healthy Lifestyle Internship at Harry Meyering Center 

5. Hockey & golf 

Advice: 

1. Use all of the resources provided for you at Gustavus. 

2. Mental & physical health are just as important as academics.

3. Get to know a wide range of people- students, faculty, staff… get out of your comfort zone! 

Future Plans: College of St. Scholastica Master of Occupational Therapy Program, start Fall 2022
