AAMC PREview ExamNew FALL 2022

New FALL 2022 (applicant cycle 2022-2023)

The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) is collaborating with 18 medical schools this year to make the AAMC PREview exam available for their applicants in support of a holistic admissions strategy.

The AAMC PREview exam is an important addition to the medical admissions process, and when combined with other parts of the medical school application (experiences, personal essays, academic records, MCAT score, and interviews), the PREview exam gives schools a more complete view of the whole applicant. Participating schools have committed to encouraging or requiring applicants to complete the AAMC PREview exam during the 2023 application cycle.

The exam will be administered with a live remote proctor at a location of an applicant’s choosing (e.g. at home, a library, etc.) while maintaining a secure environment. Applicants are encouraged to use the free preparation and practice materials that are currently available on the AAMC PREview website.

If you are considering applying to one of these 18 institutions, you are encouraged to register for the exam. Applicants intending to apply to one or more of the participating schools should visit the schools’ websites for specific information on each institution’s application requirements, and to find out how they will use the AAMC PREview exam in their admissions process.
