- Jim Gilbert (Gustavus '62) is an instructor of Environmental Studies and the previous Executive Director and Naturalist of Linnaeus Arboretum. For 30 years, Jim served the Hopkins Public Schools as a science teacher and naturalist, retiring in 1998. He is a consulting naturalist for WCCO Radio, co-author of the Minnesota Weatherguide Calendars, author of two books on nature in Minnesota, and writes a weekly nature column which appears in several newspapers
