- Statement Of Purpose/ Mission
- The Gustavus Adolphus College Club Golf Team is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for golfers of all skill levels. Our mission is to cultivate a passion for the sport through camaraderie, personal development, and competitive play. While we strive to create an atmosphere that supports learning and growth for everyone, we also maintain a competitive spirit that challenges our members to excel and reach their full potential. We aim to enhance the college experience by promoting sportsmanship, leadership, and a lifelong love for golf, while proudly representing our college in regional and national competitions.

- Currently, the Gustavus Adolphus College Club Golf Team does not have any formal affiliations. We are actively working towards becoming a member of the National Collegiate Club Golf Association (NCCGA) and exploring additional affiliations as needed to enhance our opportunities for competition and growth.

Article I: Name and Mission Statement
Section I: The organization shall be called the Gustavus Adolphus College Club Golf Team.
Section II: The mission of the organization is to foster a love for golf among students by providing opportunities for skill development, competition, and camaraderie. We aim to create an inclusive and competitive environment that encourages personal growth and teamwork while representing our college in regional and national events.
Article II: Membership
Section I: Membership is open to all Gustavus Adolphus College students. We welcome golfers of all skill levels, with a focus on creating a supportive yet competitive atmosphere. Both male and female students are encouraged to join.
Article III: Leadership and Roles
Section I: The initial leadership team will consist of a President, a Vice President, 1-3 Team Captains, a Treasurer, and a Risk Manager.
Section II: President is responsible for establishing club operations, organizing events, and coordinating with external partners.
Section III: The Vice President will assist the President and assume leadership duties as needed, ensuring smooth operation of club activities.
Section IV: Team Captains will focus primarily on the competitive and practice aspects of the club. They will lead practices, develop training programs, and assist in team selection for competitions. Team Captains are dedicated to enhancing team performance and strategy and may also hold other leadership roles within the club.
Section V: The Treasurer will manage the club’s finances, including establishing a budget and initiating fundraising efforts.
Section VI: The Risk Manager will ensure all safety protocols are followed and handle necessary documentation, such as waivers and emergency contacts.
Section VII: As the club grows, additional positions may be created to meet evolving needs, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in our leadership structure.
Article IV: Meetings and Practices
Section I: Outdoor practices, tournaments, and other competitions will be held during the fall and spring seasons.
Section II: Indoor practices will take place during the winter months at the Drenttel Golf Facility, based on its availability and coordination with the varsity men's and women's teams.
Section III: Regular meetings will be held monthly to discuss upcoming events, review progress, and address any member concerns.
Article V: Competitions
Section I: The team will participate in intercollegiate competitions and tournaments as opportunities arise. Selection for events will be based on performance, commitment, and sportsmanship.
Article VI: Finances
Section I: The club will initially seek funding through allocations from the Gustavus Student Senate and initiate fundraising activities and seek donations.
Article VII: Amendments
Section I: Amendments to this constitution may be proposed by any member and require a two-thirds majority vote by the leadership team for adoption.
Article VIII: Conduct
Section I: Members are expected to conduct themselves with integrity and sportsmanship, representing the college positively both on and off the course.
Section II: Any conduct detrimental to the team may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, at the discretion of the leadership team.
