Proclaim Constitution 2012-2013 I. Mission Statement: “Proclaim is a Christian community focused on God, called to love others, and striving to help people grow in their faith. All are welcome!” II. Faith Statement: A. The Apostle’s Creed We believe in God, the Creator, Maker of heaven and earth, We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Creator. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, The Holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. B. Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments. III. Weekly Gatherings: Proclaim shall gather once a week during the academic school year at a time to be determined by the leadership team. Currently, Proclaim meets every Tuesday of the academic year at 9:00pm in Alumni Hall. This is an interdenominational organization in which all who are interested are welcome to attend. IV.
