Statement Of Purpose/ Mission
Our mission as the Women's Club Lacrosse Team is to play the game we love and play as close to the varsity level as possible. We are always looking for new players to join our team no matter what level of experience they may have.
Affiliations
We are part of The North Central Women's Lacrosse League, which consists of teams from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and North Dakota.

CONSTITUTION OF WOMEN’S LACROSSE ARTICLE I: NAME The name of this organization will be Women’s Lacrosse. ARTICLE II: PURPOSE The purpose of Women’s Lacrosse is to play the game we love and play as close to the varsity level as possible. We are always looking for new players to joy our close knit team! ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP Section 1: Membership in this organization is open to all students who would like to participate in the sport of lacrosse at the club level. Section 2: Members are accepted continually throughout the year so long as they are in good standing with the team and are required to pay dues throughout the season. Section 3: A member may remain in good standing with the team so long as they attend practices and games and support the team throughout the season. ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS Section 1: The following officer positions shall exist in Women’s Lacrosse: President and Treasurer. All officers must be full-time students in good standing enrolled at Gustavus Adolphus College. The only position that has additional requirements is/are the President(s) (captains). A President (captain) must have been a member of the organization for at least one season before becoming a President (captain). If no qualified parties are interested, this requirement may be waived with the majority agreement of the membership present. Section 2: The duties of each office are described as follows: A. President (captains) 1. Oversee general tasks, club operations, and meetings 2. Attend Minnesota NCWLL meetings and be in contact with union officials. 3. Schedule and organize games, practices, meetings, and events 4. Serve as Match Secretary by contacting referees and providing match reports 5. Create travel plans and schedule transportation 6. Keep an attendance record and create lineups for games 7. Contact Physical Plant regarding equipment and field conditions 8. Bring necessary team information to games B. Treasurer 1. Maintain finances, pay bills/fees 2. Collect dues 3. Register team with union and make sure all players sign all of the forms necessary to participate and compete in the league. 5. Create budget for the following year 6. Maintain contact with the Student Senate Section 3: Nominations for officers are accepted from all members. Captains are elected at the end of spring season. President and Treasurer are elected at the end of the spring season at the end of the year meeting by current members of the organization by a vote. Section 4: The officers may ask a fellow officer to step down if they feel said officer is not adequately performing their duties. The officers may nominate a successor. A full team vote on the decision is only necessary if there have been formal objection ARTICLE V: FINANCES Section 1: Women’s Lacrosse receives financial support from Student Senate. Additional funds of the organization shall be raised through fundraising and dues. Section 2: Upon dissolution of Women’s Lacrosse, all possible assets and equipment will be credited to Gustavus Men’s Lacrosse. The remaining assets will be credited to Gustavus Student Senate. ARTICLE VI: MEETINGS AND PRACTICES Section 1: Practices will generally be held five days a week. This is subject to change at the discretion of the officers. Section 2: Officer meetings will be held one a month or when deemed necessary by the officers. ARTICLE VII: AMENDMENTS/BY-LAWS Section 1: This document may be changed or added to by the officers with a majority team vote.
