Robert BresnahanStaff
Bob Bresnahan is in his second year as a Volunteer Assistant Coach with the Gustavus Baseball program in 2017.
Bresnahan is currently in his 34th year with Federated Insurance Company working out of its Edina Office.
Bresnahan is a native of St. Peter, Minnesota, and competed in football, basketball, and baseball for his hometown high school. He then went on to play baseball for Dean Bowyer at Mankato State University from 1978 – 1981, twice earning All-Conference honors, as well as All-Central Region. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Bresnahan played professional baseball in the Minnesota Twins organization.
He is a proud member of the Minnesota State University (Mankato) Hall of Fame, having been inducted with his tremendous teammates on the 1979 and 1980 teams that competed in the national tournament both years finishing as high as third place.
Prior to coming to Gustavus Adolphus, Bresnahan currently serves as a hitting and fielding instructor for high school and college players as he has done for the past 21 years. He also assists the Minnesota Twins Scouting Staff for the Midwest Region as he has done for the past 22 years.
Bob and his wife, Doreen, live in Edina, and have two children, son Jay, and daughter, Jamie.
