Heidi Carlson ’93Alumni and Staff

I came to Gustavus in 1989, and have never left.  Yikes, I'm one of those! I have been assistant women's tennis coach for 29 years, with one stint as head coach in 2007-2008.

My goal as a coach is to give our student-athletes a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment all while demanding they work hard at being good students, citizens, teammates, and tennis players. Being a student-athlete in a nationally ranked program is both tough and rewarding.  I believe the time and effort they put in benefits them beyond measure as they go out into the real world in their post-collegiate endeavors.
