  • Six faculty members, serving staggered three-year terms, appointed by the Faculty Senate.
  • When the Adjudication Board is hearing alleged cases of student academic dishonesty, it will be joined by six students designated by the Student Senate.

Responding to Academic Dishonesty

In all cases of suspected academic dishonesty (e.g., cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, fabrication or falsification), faculty members are encouraged to report matters to the Office of the Provost for further follow-up. By reporting incidents, we can better track the culture of integrity on campus and also look at the "bigger picture" of the individual student that may also include additional violations of the Gustavus Adolphus College Honor Code and Academic Honesty Policy.

Faculty members should report suspected academic dishonesty using the Academic Dishonesty Reporting Form. (Gustavus log in is required.)

Following submission, a confirmation letter will be sent to the reporting faculty member, the student, and their academic advisor. If you have questions about the reporting process, or wish to discuss the matter before filing your report, please email honor-code-dean@gustavus.edu
