The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is a Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) web-based system for maintaining information on F-1 and J-1 students in the U.S.

Each college that enrolls international students has a DSO (Designated School Official for F-1 students) or RO (Responsible Officer for J-1 students) who must report to SEVIS. Jeff Anderson is your DSO and RO, and must report:

  • Your enrollment each semester
  • If you withdraw or are suspended from Gustavus
  • your e-mail address and telephone number
  • If you change your name or address
  • If you change your major or minor

If you are on Optional Practical Training (OPT), you must also report employment information (employer name, address, and dates of employment).
