I. Mission Statement
Spill is an anonymous peer-to-peer support system online for college students.
Students can vent (or Spill) confidentially about whatever problems they're going through & get unbiased support, feedback, and resources from other students on campus who have dealt with that particular problem. Both parties are anonymous to one another. The Spiller gets responses within 24 hours.
We aim to help individuals understand that they're not alone in their problems. They just haven't been connected, yet
As a member of SPILL, one must agree that everything they read remains confidential. The content within the SPILLS can be personal content, and the “Spiller” feels as though they can confide in you. The only person that SPILLS should be discussed with is a member of the Executive team or someone at the National Level. Confidentiality is key when working with people.
SPILL does not have a weekly meeting, but will meet once every semester to talk about how to respond to certain SPILLS, ways to improve your response, and create more ways to effect campus in a positive manner.
IV. SPILL Executive Team
Being on an executive requires a large amount of team work an organization. We work together to figure out how we can impact campus. We also look into where the student body needs the most help whether it be with relationship problems, school stress, dysfunctional families, or anything else that needs to be responding too. We screen responses to SPILLS and make sure that every responder is actively responding to their SPILLS.
B. Leadership Positions
- Vice President
- Quality Control
- Event Planner
- Campus Advisor
- National Advisor
C. Leadership Meetings
The Executive Team meets once every week, and whenever else they feel is necessary. These meetings are confidential. The President is required to have a weekly phone conversation with a National Advisor.
