Requesting Transcripts
The Gustavus Adolphus College transcript is the official and historical record of a student’s enrollment at Gustavus. The official transcript is signed by the Registrar and bears the official seal of the College. Student records are protected by FERPA, the privacy act. You are the only one who may request your own transcript.
The Office of the Registrar at Gustavus Adolphus College is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Normally, transcript requests are processed within three business days. Exceptions include, the opening week of each semester, one week before and after graduation, and between Christmas and New Year's when the College is closed.
No transcripts will be issued to current students once the final grading period begins until all final grades for all students have been recorded. This is to ensure that no incomplete records are released. Current students may request that a transcript be held until final grades for a term are recorded. Please plan accordingly.

Transcripts cannot be ordered over the phone and are not sent via fax. Electronic transcripts will be delivered via email through the National Student Clearinghouse
Current students may view their unofficial transcripts via MyGustavus. We do not issue unofficial transcripts to former students. Please follow the directions below to request an official transcript.
Electronic Transcript Requests
Gustavus offers electronic (secure, certified PDF) delivery via the National Student Clearinghouse (NEW).
- The site will walk you through placing your transcript order
- You will select electronically delivered transcript
- You can order as many transcripts, to be sent to as many destinations as you like in a single session
- Supplemental forms may be uploaded to be included with your transcript order
- Order updates will be sent to you via email
- You can check the status of your order online
- You will be assessed a $4.50 online service fee for each electronic transcript and your credit card will only be charged after your order is completed
* If you are requesting a transcript with final grades and/or degree awarded, you should verify all grades have been posted to your academic record, via MyGustavus, BEFORE submitting a request for an electronic transcript. **
