Jussi Bjorling Music Scholarship

$2,000-$8,000 annually ($8,000-$32,000 over four years)

Jussi Bjorling Music Scholarships support students continuing their participation in music at Gustavus. Students do not need to major or minor within the department to qualify for or maintain the scholarship.

To Apply:

  1. Submit an Application for Admission to Gustavus Adolphus College
  2. Complete the Jussi Bjorling Music Scholarship application, including all supporting materials:
  • Music Resume
  • Music Audition (live or submitted recordings)

You may apply for the Jussi Bjorling Music Scholarship in multiple performance areas-- for example, you may submit one application for voice and another for piano. Separate application forms and resumes must be completed for each performance area. However, only one music award will be granted.

To Maintain:

Renewal of the scholarship requires participation in music lessons and a department approved performing ensemble.

Applicants will receive communication from the Music Scholarship Coordinator, Alan Meier (ameier@gustavus.edu), after they are admitted to Gustavus. The Application for Admission will open on August 1, 2020.
