Find Your Way to Affordability
You’re already $30,000 closer to a college degree. The Gustie Guarantee, promises at least that much annually to every student, no matter what size your family’s bank account. Other funding options, from merit scholarships to on-campus employment, can further decrease your tuition costs.
Types of Aid
Scholarships turn your achievements in academics, music, art, dance, theatre, and beyond into valuable financial aid that does not require repayment.
Based on your family’s finances, you could qualify for gift aid—which requires no repayment—in the form of a federal, state, or Gustavus grant. Fill out the FAFSA to see if you qualify.
Close the financial gap with a loan to cover your college costs. Loan eligibility may or may not be tied to your financial need.
Take advantage of a month-long, credited travel course. Financial aid helps put international travel costs and program fees in reach.
Take your grants and scholarships on the road with worldwide, semester-long studies that move beyond your major. Your financial aid applies to all approved programs.
Looking for help with hands-on learning? Get up to $3,000 in additional aid to fund your Signature Experience internship, research, course practicum, or study away.
Every Gustie is eligible to work on campus, whether your aid package includes federal work-study or not. You’ll grow your community, add to your resume, and connect to a sense of purpose.
You stepped up to serve. In return, Gustavus is proud to offer education benefits to eligible vets and service members, plus their spouses and family members.
Do either of your parents work for a college or university? Through reciprocal exchange programs, you could receive a scholarship that covers your Gustavus tuition costs.
Get creative with outside scholarships, matching funds, and other sources of support to help pay for your degree. Be sure to report any outside dollars to the Gustavus Financial Aid Office.
