The purpose of our club is to promote French and Francophone culture on campus.

Constitution

Full membership in this organization shall be open to all Gustavus students and staff.

Leadership positions 

the organization shall consist of a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary/public relations representative and DLC representative 

Duties and Powers:

  • a)  The duties of the president shall be to preside at all meetings,
    to call special meetings, to appoint committees, etc.
  • b)  The duties of the vice president,  shall be to
    perform the same duties as the president.
  • c)  The duties of the treasurer shall be to keep an accurate and
    complete record of all monetary transactions, etc..
  • d)  The duties of the secretary/public relations representative, shall be to keep an accurate, permanent record of the minutes and proceedings of the organization.
  • e) Public Relations Office requires keeping the public (external audience) and members (internal audience) informed about the club or activities through effective communication channels and media relations.

Election of leaders:

  • a)  The leaders shall be elected each semester or by being nominated  by leadership committee

Faculty/Staff Advisor The French Club is required to have a faculty/staff advisor (preferably a member of the French Section of the Language Department). This person must be a full-time University employee.

Meetings

The Gustavus French Club will meet every Wednesday at 4:30 pm -5:30 pm. In addition, at any other agreed upon time for special events.
