Free tuition during your first year for Minnesotans who qualify, plus a minimum of $30,000 per year in scholarships for all others, plus a guaranteed degree in four years or your ninth semester is free.

Gustavus Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Program offers an ASBMB‑accredited major integrating chemistry and biology with early hands‑on research, lab experience, and career prep, including careers in medicine.

Through the Gustavus Gender, Women & Sexuality Program (GWSS), students explore gender, sexuality, feminist theory, activism, and social justice through research and community engagement.

Through the Gustavus Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies Department, students dive into ancient Greek and Roman languages, history, art, and culture with study‑abroad, research, events, and career-ready skills.

The History Department at Gustavus focuses its majors and minors on inclusive, discussion-based learning about how the past has shaped society today. Students leave equipped with powerful tools to guide their future and the future of the world.

The Gustavus Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures offers the opportunity to learn Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Russian through immersive language, culture, and study abroad opportunities.

Gustavus Nursing Department is home to an accredited clinical nursing education experience grounded in the liberal arts. Graduates are eligible for the National Council Licensure Examination and meet the requirements for certification as a public health nurse in Minnesota.

The Public Health Program is home to the Public Health major/minor. Students learn to address the challenges that impact the health of communities and individuals, such as health care access, environmental health, infectious disease prevention, and more.

Through the Gustavus Scandinavian Studies Department, students study Swedish language and Nordic culture. There are opportunities to study abroad in Sweden, conduct field research, work in internships, and participate in Nordic arts events.

The Coaching minor meets the National Standards for Sport Coaches by the Society for Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE). It's an excellent addition for students majoring in education or other fields who would like to work with sports.
