All scholarships are renewable for four years if applicable requirements are met.
Automatic Consideration:
All U.S. and Permanent Resident applicants who have been admitted to Gustavus will be automatically considered for the following renewable merit-based scholarships:

Gold Scholarship
This annual award (starting at $25,000) is in recognition of your past achievements and in anticipation of your future success at Gustavus.Dean's Scholarship
This annual award (starting at $34,000) recognize students who show significant academic achievement, service, or leadership in their high schools, churches, and communities.President's Scholarship
Awards of up to $38,000 annually represent the College's financial commitment to academic excellence, one of our five core values. Past recipients ranked near the top of their graduating class and enrolled in academically challenging high school courses.
The Dean's and President's Scholarships are the only scholarships that are exclusive to each other. A student may receive either the Dean's or President's Scholarship, not both. All other scholarships (Gustavus or outside aid) may be stacked on top of a Dean's or President's Scholarship.

National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarship
- Full tuition scholarship for National Merit Semifinalists or Finalists, by invitation, after interviewing.

Gustavus Referral Scholarship
- The Gustavus Referral Scholarship program allows alumni, family, friends, and community members to nominate a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or transfer student for a scholarship of up to $2,000 per year. Learn more and recommend a student today.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
- Transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa will be awarded scholarships of up to $2,500 annually (certificate of Phi Theta Kappa participation is required).

Priority Deadline:
December 1, 2024: For full consideration, apply for talent based scholarships by the Priority Deadline of December 1. If you apply after receiving a financial aid offer, your overall offer may be adjusted.
