Edward and Patty Lindell Scholarship

The Edward and Patty Lindell Scholarship is funded by an endowment established in 1980 by members of the Class of 1980 in honor of the 11th president of the College (served 1975-1980) and his wife. The scholarship is designated for a senior student to be selected by the Office of the Dean of Students in the spring prior to their senior year on the basis of "academic achievement, service and leadership to the Gustavus Adolphus community, and participation in its livelihood." Nominations are solicited in the winter/spring of each year and a recipient is selected each spring/summer for the following academic year.

    • Current junior (rising senior) standing
    • GPA greater than 3.0
    • Financial need is NOT a requirement
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Academic achievement
    • Service and leadership to the Gustavus community
    • Participation in the livelihood of Gustavus
