Dr. Mark Slaughter is a passionate and experienced church musican with a commitment to fostering vibrant and innovative worship experiences. For over a decade, he led the comprehensive worship and music program at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN. Under his direction, the program flourished, experiencing significant growth in participation and earning recognition for its creative and engaging worship services and strong choral program.
Dr. Slaughter has a distinguished academic background, holding a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, where his doctoral dissertation explored practical methods for transforming worship within local congregations. This focus on innovation in worship planning is evident throughout his career.
Dr. Slaughter's passion for music and theology extends to his teaching career. He has served on the faculties of Kentucky Wesleyan College and Luther Seminary, where his love of learning inspired countless students.
Dr. Slaughter is married to Jody Roberts Slaughter, and they have two adult children. He also is an avid cyclist and skier.
