I grew up on a hobby farm outside of New Richland, Minnesota. After graduating from Northwestern College with an Associate Degree in Office Management, my husband and I settled in the Twin Cities. I worked at Accenture in Minneapolis for six years and loved the atmosphere of working downtown.
In 2002, we moved to St. Peter for my husband's job, and I started working at Gustavus in the Faculty Development office (now the Kendall Center). Our first son was born in 2003, and I left Gustavus to stay home with him full-time, although I continued to work on small Faculty Development projects off and on for about two years. Our second son was born in 2007, and when he entered kindergarten in 2013, I began looking for a part-time job outside of my home.
When I was offered the position as Theatre and Dance Administrative Assistant, I was very excited to become part of the Gustavus community again. I enjoy the creative energy in our department from both the faculty and the students, and it’s rewarding seeing everyone's hard work come to fruition in a performance.
I have always loved computers and tackling technology challenges, as well as helping others with computer problems. One of my hobbies is scrapbooking, but instead of paper and glue, I use Photoshop to create my pages digitally. Besides working at Gustavus, I also manage the administrative side of my husband’s business, Bright Pixel Design.
My family and I adore living in St. Peter, and we take advantage of its many parks, family activities, the library, the Food Co-op, and much more. We enjoy camping, biking and swimming in the summer, and sledding and cross-country skiing in the winter.
