Joy Reese ’02

Born and raised in New Richland, MN, Joy studied History at Gustavus, as well as participated in a number of campus groups and organizations. During her time at Gustavus, she served as the Educational Chair for Inter-Greek Senate, as a leader in the Delta Phi Omega Sorority, sang in the Chapel Choir, and worked as a tour guide in the Admission Office. During her senior year, Joy spent her second semester interning at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.
Upon graduation, Joy pursued her Master's Degree and worked as a graduate assistant at Minnesota State University, Mankato, with the ultimate goal of becoming a college professor. Upon a chance meeting with her former boss from Gustavus, she learned of a job opening in Admission, and was hired in January 2006. She is thrilled to be on the administrative side of higher education and has a passion for assisting students gain access to education and finding the right college for them.
In her spare time, Joy enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her husband Josh, daughter Lilly, and son Reese.
