Liz Vine ’15Alumni and Staff

Assistant Dean of Admission and Transfer Coordinator in Admission

Admission Territory:  Central MN, select Twin Cities high schools, Transfer Coordinator

Originally from Fargo, ND, Liz graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2015 with a Communication Studies major and Management minor.  While touring colleges and universities as a high school senior, Liz discovered that she wanted a small school where students could build relationships with professors.  After her campus visit at Gustavus, she texted her dad, “I’m going to Gustavus!”  As a Gustie, Liz embraced the Liberal Arts experience and became involved in a variety of activities including Women’s Golf, Women in Leadership, SAVE (Student Athlete Volunteer Educators), and Gustie Greeters.  She wanted to take advantage of the Division Three experience and found fulfillment participating in activities both inside and outside of athletics.  One of her most memorable experiences was going on Gustavus’s first faculty-led semester abroad in Malaysia where she fulfilled her dreaded science credit in the tropical rain forest.

Liz currently leads the College’s transfer admission efforts and recruits first year students from Central MN and select Twin Cities high schools.  She is passionate about the liberal arts, and is thrilled to work at an institution that aligns with her mission and values.  As an Admission Counselor, she is able to share the Gustavus community, which shaped her intellectual and personal development, with perspective students and families.

Liz lives in St. Peter with her husband, Zach, and daughters, Marta and Georgia.  Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exercising, watching sports, and baking.
