Amanda NienowFaculty
I grew up near Holdingford, MN and graduated from high school from Becker, MN. I then attended Saint Mary's University of MN where I earned a B.A. in Chemistry and met my husband, Aaron Nienow. I obtained my Ph.D. in (Physical) Chemistry at the University of Minnesota and completed a brief post-doctoral fellowship at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN before coming to Gustavus Adolphus College as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in 2007. In 2013, I was promoted to Associate Professor and in 2018, I was promoted to Professor.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing games, and playing/exploring the outdoors with my three kids- Allan, Henry, and Julia.
