Gustavus students and other community members marched in support of strong Gustavus climate action and made a presentation at the Faculty Meeting on the same day. Here is an example the environmental leadership displayed by our students. . Alex Theship's documentary on environmental spirituality is a part of the many student environmental efforts on and off-campus.

MN Senator Tina Smith came to campus to learn more about Gustavus' environmental efforts. PESC members David Obermiller, Steve Kjellgren, Darsa Donelan, Scott Moeller, James Dontje, and Dale Plemmons were part of the group that welcomed the senator along with students Emily Carlson, Tasnim Lamisa, Alex Theship-Rosales, James Miller, and Courtney Bunn.

Gustavus moves to single sort recycling across campus:
- Paper, plastic and cans will all go in the same container.
- New container system in first-year dorms and Campus Center; more containers to come in other locations.
