Mike Marcotte is a 2008 Gustavus graduate and a native Minnesotan, growing up in Blaine. As an Elementary Education major at Gustavus, Mike was Vice President of Administration of Student Senate for two years, served on leadership for the Campus Activities Board (CAB), led the Student Educators Association, sang in the Gustavus Choir, and was a Magnuson Leadership and Service Award recipient. He was awarded the school's First Decade Award in 2018. 

Mike currently is the Executive Producer of Local Programming for KSTP-TV, overseeing Minnesota Live, anchored by Megan Newquist and Chris Egert, along with Twin Cities Live, hosted by Elizabeth Ries and Ben Leber. He appears on both shows regularly to present "What's Happening This Weekend".
