Overview

Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 15, when the Gustavus music department presents one of the most ambitious performances in recent memory: a complete performance of Beethoven's Mass in C (Op. 86).

This monumental work stands as one of Beethoven's most joyful masterpieces. Mass in C radiates with the composer's characteristic brilliance. From the triumphant opening Kyrie to the jubilant finale, this work demonstrates why Beethoven remains one of history's greatest composers. What makes this performance truly exceptional is its scale. We're bringing together 300 student musicians and four professional soloists to bring this magnificent choral-orchestral work to life.

We hope you'll join us on campus for this special collaboration showcasing the best of our student musicians and the enduring spirit of the Gustavus music tradition. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased starting March 1 at tickets.gustavus.edu or at the door.

Gustavus students, faculty, and staff are entitled to one free ticket to the concert.
