Lily Anderson '20
Your Name: Lily Anderson
Graduation Year: 2020
Major: Exercise Physiology
Your Story: I have been an athlete my whole life, specializing in track and field. When I came to Gustavus I chose to be an exercise physiology major because it fit my interests the best. During my first year as a collegiate athlete, I experienced an injury that made me miss an entire season of competing. As devasting as it was, I valued the rehabilitation process and those that helped me run again. Along the way I learned about physical therapy and the impact it can have on athletes. I had my first shadowing experience that summer at an outpatient clinic. I immediately feel in love with the profession, the diversity of each day, and the impact a physical therapist can have on someone’s health and wellbeing. When returning to school in the fall, I sought classes that would fulfill requirements for graduate school and discovered more shadowing opportunities. Each experience I have been a part of has ensured that this is the profession for me, and I am more than excited to start my journey.

2. Take time on your application and look into each school you are applying to see if there is anything in particular you need to do.
3. If you have an interview practice with a mock interview or video tape yourself answering questions. Then you will feel prepared and ready for whatever comes your way.
