Twin Cities Fika
When: Sunday, November 22, 2026 | 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Where: The American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis
Open to: Admitted students and their families
Experience the warmth of Gustavus tradition right in the heart of Minneapolis! Join us for a festive afternoon where Gustie spirit meets cozy Scandinavian charm. “Fika” — pronounced ‘fee-kuh’ — is a Swedish tradition of pausing with a treat and connecting with others. Over hot cocoa and delicious Swedish treats, you’ll get to mingle with future classmates, chat with professors, and hear insights from Gustavus students and parents.

Christmas in Christ Chapel: Admission Event
When: Sunday, December 6, 2026 | 2–6:30 p.m.
Where: On campus
Open to: High school juniors, seniors, and their families
Celebrate the holiday season with Christmas in Christ Chapel, a beloved Gustavus tradition featuring music, dance, and spoken word. As our guest, you and your family can request up to three complimentary tickets (with additional tickets available for purchase). Customize your visit by adding an admission information session, campus tour, and/or complimentary meal. This event will close once capacity is reached.

Meet Gustavus: Admitted Student Reception
When: Sunday, January 17, 2027 | 3–5 p.m.
Where: International Market Square in Minneapolis
Open to: Admitted students and their families
We’re bringing the best of Gustavus to the Twin Cities for our biggest event of the year! This is your chance to mix and mingle with more than 80 current students, professors, staff members, and proud alumni. Bring your questions, enjoy delicious refreshments, and experience the community that could be yours.
Giveaway: Your choice of a cozy Gustavus crewneck sweatshirt or plush Gustavus blanket.

Admitted Student Days
When: Monday, Feb. 15, Friday, March 12, and Friday, April 9, 2027 | 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Where: On campus
Open to: Admitted students and their families
Ready to test-drive college life? Step into the shoes of a current student and experience life at Gustavus firsthand. Sit in on real classes, tour our residence halls, explore the resources here to help you, and more. Want the full experience? Join us for an optional overnight stay the night before to see what campus feels like after hours. While there is programming all day, we recommend spending at least three hours on campus for this event.
Giveaway: $25 gift card to our campus bookstore to pick out some Gustie gear

Sophomore and Junior Day
When: Friday, April 16, 2027 | 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Where: On campus
Open to: High school sophomores, juniors, and their families
Kick off your college search with an inside look at Gustavus! This fun, high-energy day is designed to give you a head start on your journey. Dive in during our Gustavus 101 session, ask your questions during a student Q&A, and explore campus with a current student.
Giveaway: Embroidered Gustavus baseball hat or canvas Gustavus tote bag.

Minnesota Private Colleges Week
When: Monday, June 21 through Friday, June 25, 2027 | 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Where: On campus
Open to: Rising high school juniors, seniors, and their families
Discover what makes Gustavus special during Minnesota Private Colleges Week! You’ll explore academic buildings, popular hangout spots, and more on your group tour, preview the academic experience with mini-classes taught by professors, dive in during breakout sessions, and enjoy lunch in our dining hall.
