Admitted Student Day (ASD) Overnight Program

We’re excited to offer an optional overnight experience prior to an Admitted Student Day. You’ll get to meet lots of Gusties (and future Gusties!), eat dinner together in the cafeteria, check out evening activities on campus, and stay overnight in the hostel suites of Southwest Hall, an upperclassmen residence hall.

Each hostel suite features three bunkrooms, a common living space, and access to shared restrooms and showers (with private stalls). You’ll share a bunkroom with several other prospective students and your host. The exterior door is secured by key fob access.

Admitted Student Day Overnight Experience

Turn your Admitted Student Day into an unforgettable two-day experience. Our optional overnight lets you dive into life as a Gustie before the big event begins. You’ll meet current students and future classmates, grab dinner in our dining hall, explore evening activities across campus, and wind down in the hostel suites of Southwest Hall before beginning your jam-packed day as a Gustie the following morning.

2026 Overnight Dates and Registration

Make the most of your Admitted Student Day. Pick the overnight date that matches your visit:

Sunday, February 15 for Admitted Student Day #1 on Monday, February 16
Thursday, March 12 for Admitted Student Day #2 on Friday, March 13
Thursday, April 9 for Admitted Student Day #3 on Friday, April 10

Indicate your interest in an overnight visit when you register for an Admitted Student Day. After you register, you’ll be emailed a supplemental form to confirm and complete your overnight registration.

You’ll be prompted to login to your Applicant Portal to register.

What's Included in the Overnight Experience

Basic accommodations in the Southwest Hall Hostel with a bunkroom, common living space, and access to shared restrooms and showers with private stalls.
Current student hosts for the group arranged by the Admission Office.
Dinner and breakfast in our dining hall.
All evening activities.
Key fob access to the Southwest Hostel suites.

Overnight

5:30 - 6:00 p.m. | Check-in, meet & greet, and bag drop
6:00 p.m. | Welcome meal with Gustie Hosts
6:45 p.m. | Get settled in Southwest Hostel
7:00 p.m. | Evening Activities

Admitted Student Day

8:00 a.m. | Breakfast with Gustie hosts
8:30 a.m. | Admitted Student Day schedule begins

Program Details

Open to high school seniors (first-year and international students) admitted for Fall 2026.
Students can use our Fly-in Program to visit Gustavus for an Admitted Student Day Overnight.
Participation is limited to one Admitted Student Day Overnight per student.
Requests should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.
Offered only in conjunction with Admitted Student Days.
