In the Secondary Education major at Gustavus, you will choose from 17 teacher licensure programs. You will begin working in classrooms as soon as you start the program, and 90% of graduates are placed in teaching roles in middle schools, high schools, and other organizations across the country and the world.

Sociology and Anthropology majors/minors explore historic and current issues related to different cultures and analyze the interactions of people and societies. You learn how to convey ideas effectively, develop analytical skills, and gain experience with research methods to recognize trends and produce social statistics. We study international relations and develop our critical thinking, public speaking, and negotiation skills. We do so through realistic simulations of United Nations proceedings.
