Sonja Timmerman ’98Alumni and Staff
My introduction to Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library came as a student employee. Although my undergraduate Biology degree took me on many adventures I’m grateful to have had (ask me about them sometime!) the experience I had working as a student employee was a large part of my decision to pursue a library degree later.
After spending several years working in public libraries, I joined the Gustavus staff in 2005. My current position as Interlibrary Loan manager allows me to provide an important service for the Gustavus community while giving me the opportunity to interact with students, faculty and staff.
My spouse (also a fellow Gustie) and I live in St. Peter with our family. You may run into us spending time in the Arboretum, especially during the fall and spring.
